 Amy Linkins

Amy Likins has been teaching Yoga on the Emerald Coast since 1999 - her classes include an eclectic blend of both gentle and challenging  Vinyasa, and a slower  paced therapeutic style of Yoga that encourages each student to be and heal where they are.  Amy previously has been a part of Dragonfly Yoga and her own studio All One Yoga and Wellness, both in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Amy was also co-owner and creator of Cafe Organic. She began practicing yoga while still in college working on a degree in geology, and drew upon her love and connection to the earth to find a deeper connection to herself and others. After suffering multiple injuries and life changes in a serious automobile accident, Amy's practice took a turn away from vigorous and fiery and became a way to reintegrate balance back into her body and mind. Thru this process she began to attract students who needed a more gentle and compassionate approach to the asana. Her Yoga classes focus on breath and body awareness and helping each student discover their own personal needs, which inevitably spills into their daily lives, helping them live a life that is full of mindful awareness. Amy also discovered that nutrition was a vital part of the healing process. After using diet and lifestyle to heal her own body, she obtained a Masters Degree in Holistic Nutrition and now works with individuals to create diet and lifestyle plans to address the obstacles they may face on their journey to being healthy and well, body and mind. Recently Amy and her life partner Christian Echele opened Synergy Organic Juice Bar (link at bottom of page) in Downtown Fort Walton Beach,  and are continuing to teach seminars and cooking classes to help others learn more about using  yoga, meditation, and healthy whole foods to prevent disease and to help manage and reverse health issues that may already be in place.  At Synergy they feature locally sourced Organic whole foods, Organic meats, vegetarian and vegan dishes along with Organic Juices, Green Drinks and Wheat Grass as part of the yogic lifestyle to health and wellbeing, body and mind.
